In Emilia-Romagna, onions in Balsamic Vinegar are traditionally combined with cured meats. You can also slice the onions and serve them with boiled beef or poultry, adding a little bit of Italian extra-virgin olive oil. Alternatively, you can serve them with tinned ﬁsh, such as sardines or tuna, adding seasonal cooked or raw vegetables for a delicious, fresh dish.
